Top swims among the boys were made by Taisei Saito, who finished 3rd in the 100 fly and 4th in the 200IM, Lucas Crother-Collado who finished 4th in the 100 free, Lucas Hubbard who finished 3rd in the 200 free and Alexander Cole, who finished 2nd in the 200 free and 1st in the 500 free. Alexander's races qualified him in both races for the NFHS All American status.
Capping off a 2nd great day was the very last race, the 400 free relay, swum by Lucas Hubbard, Lucas Crother-Collado, Taisei Saito and Alexander Cole. They dominated the race from the beginning with each subsequent swimmer gaining on their lead and culminating with the anchor 100yds swum by Alexander Cole that helped clinch the NFHS All American status in the race.
All 7 CIF Team members qualified to swim at the CIF State Championships in Fresno, swimming in both individual and relay races and representing El Segundo High School with pride!
After such a successful swim season, the El Segundo High School Swim team broke a total of 9 El Segundo High School swim records (5 on the boys team and 4 on the girls team) raising the bar for future swimmers to strive to beat!
